‘Entree>Exit’ showcases a selection of works by recently graduated artists, who graduated in academic year 2008-2009 from Artesis university college (formerly the Royal Academy of Fine Arts) and Karel de Grote university college (campus Sint-Lucas). Young talented artists and art on the crossroads between their school and their career, their classroom and their own studio. Leave here, enter there… Do come in. Entree. Exit.
This exhibition has no overarching theme. Instead it highlights a sample of interesting artists in various disciplines. Entrée>Exit is like a collage. The emphasis is on the purely artistic value of the works. The materials were sourced from dissertations of graduates. But the exhibition also wants to be a platform which showcases the complete artistic prowess of these graduated. That is why the young artists were also given the opportunity to show other work, or create new work for this exhibition.
