Public Art Creation
With this work, Antwerp Public Art Collection continues its annual project in the City Park. An old pedestal prompts reflection on how art can exist in public space and what forms it might take. This room for experimentation is essential to the ecosystem of our arts field. It offers a platform for ever-surprising voices and perspectives. With Heman Chong, Antwerp Public Art Colllection explores the nature of public art creation beyond traditional forms and materials. This conceptual work emerged remotely, through dialogue, and is only made possible by trust and co-creation — valuable concepts for both art and the city.
