Leo Copers is a well-known artist who has already created a lot of masterpieces. He succeeds in transcending the boundaries of Surrealism and pop art, Fluxus and conceptual artist and is equally comfortable with the traditional field of visual arts – sculpture and painting – as with art forms such as the object-installation and performance art and the art of events and situations.
The Middelheim Museum took a close look at the short-lived works that Leo Copers created: the temporary, unstable, ephemeral works, which are both surprising and enigmatic, were a veritable challenge for spectators.
