Performance Weekend

Step into the wondrous world of Monster Chetwynd in her very first outdoor exhibition! In A Friends Making Machine, discover her large, colourful installations that spark the imagination. They feel like gateways to another universe, built through collage and bricolage from simple materials, and rich with references to film, science and art history.

On the weekend of 11 and 12 September, the artist returns to the museum. Together with performers, she will present a new performance. That weekend also features many other activities. Join workshops or guided tours, listen to audio tours, and discover the Salamander Portal, the museum’s new additional entrance. All activities are free and no registration is required.

Glow Worm Glue

Monster Chetwynd developed the new performance Glow Worm Glue (2026) especially for this exhibition. It is her tribute to the invisible networks of the park. The Friends Making Machine explores similarities between systems of care among humans, moles, bats and… glow-worms. In this performance, she works with bioluminescence: light produced and emitted by living organisms.
