Live drawing in Braem pavilion
Come and join a drawing workshop! In Braem pavilion you can watch artists as they draw. Professional artists and fans come here to draw life models. Sometimes you can also participate, each class decides how much access is offered.
In the collection and art park the focus lies on the human body. There are many anonymous bodies, in particular naked females. When drawing a life model, you suddenly look at a body quite differently. Your chance for a refreshing glimpse of the collection.

New documentary and drawing with artists
For many artists from the collection at Middelheim Museum, the making of drawings is very important. They sketch, design, make graphic work for their own artistic practices. Often, they teach drawing too. Three artists are coming especially to give a unique drawing workshop in the museum: Peter Rogiers, Paul Kindersley and Joëlle Tuerlinckx.
Take a peek inside the studios of these three artists, and see how they approach drawing. A drawing is much more than what ends up on paper. It is a thought process as well. You also learn more about their works of art in the park. The new documentary Tekenfilm Middelheim (2025), produced by Aldine Reinink & Sjors Swierstra (ca. 15 minutes) plays continuously in Braem pavilion.
