Polyphony and inclusion

The Congoville exhibition took place from May 29 to October 3, 2021. This group exhibition was curated by guest curator Sandrine Colard (BE/DRC). This exhibition and other future projects fit within a broader development of the museum towards greater polyphony and inclusion.

Berlinde De Bruyckere

New in the collection: Charlotte Posenenske

Square Tube Series D (1967-2004)

You can see a work of art by the German artist Charlotte Posenenske against the façade of the Braem Pavilion. Posenenske (Germany, 1930-1985) is considered a key figure on the interface between Conceptual Art and Minimalism. Her work was brief yet powerful: she worked from 1959 to 1968.

Middelheim Museum acquires a Bruce Nauman masterpiece

The work Diamond Shaped Room with Yellow Light will be presented to the public as a key work in the exhibition Experience Traps, which will be opening on 1 June as part of the cultural city festival Antwerp Baroque 2018. Rubens Inspires.
